    Egypt overseas transfers total $29.7 billion through July

    Remittances from Egyptians working abroad totaled about $29.7 billion from January through July 2026. The figure rose 28.1% from a year earlier, adding roughly $6.5 billion compared to 2025. July produced about $4.5 billion in remittances, up 20% from July 2025. January and February accounted for about $7.3 billion of the total, exceeding their year-earlier combined level by about $1.4 billion.
